About

Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations serves the High Point, North Carolina, area with a tradition spanning three generations. For decades, families have trusted us to help them remember and celebrate the lives of people they have loved and lost.

Welcome to our historic High Point funeral home

Unique feature at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and CremationsOur Phillips Avenue funeral home spans 23,000 square feet and includes several large visitation rooms, an inspirational chapel that comfortably seats more than 200 guests and a dedicated study for clergy members. Ample parking is convenient for guests, and all areas of the funeral home are wheelchair accessible.

At the center of the funeral home lies a meditation garden with a waterfall and a little lagoon with aquatic life. The garden is visible from the chapel, which has lots of natural light and pew seating.

Personalized funerals and memorials

How will you honor your loved one’s legacy? At Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, we are experts at creating unique and memorable tributes that celebrate a person’s passions and personality.

If your loved one was a world-class grill master, we can put together a celebratory cookout. Maybe her recipes for banana pudding and chocolate chess pie are worthy of a dessert buffet? We can display a collection of paintings or quilts, dress up in sports jerseys or theatrical costumes, or release 100 red balloons.

From small details like photos and funeral favors to custom decor and a live band—whatever the case may be—we can craft a memorial that warms hearts, lifts spirits and deeply reflects the life of your loved one.

We offer many planning ideas and resources.

Cremation in High Point

Signature Dedication at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and CremationsThere are many options for cremation in High Point—and they're not all equal. We specialize in cremation services that honor loved ones in personalized ways, and families love our all-inclusive pricing. With expertise in scattering ashes and a friendly team who pays attention to every detail, we provide service that is second to none.

More and more people are choosing cremation over traditional burial, but most aren’t familiar with the many options:

  • a cremation without a funeral or memorial service of any kind.
  • a funeral with your loved one present, followed by cremation.
  • a cremation followed by a scattering, cemetery memorialization or celebration of life—or all three.

For those who wish for something more momentous, Neptune Memorial Reef is an underwater cremation garden off the coast of Florida. A Celestis Memorial Spaceflight takes ashes into space for a little while or forever.

History

Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations was founded as Harold C. Davis Funeral Home in 1950. It was originally located on North Main Street. Since then, we've twice outgrown our building. The current location opened in 1996.

Today, we are members of the Dignity Memorial® family, offering the warm, familiar attention you expect from a locally operated business and the value you deserve from North America's largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers.
